DMV comes through, NXT2EDN license plate is a reality

Just wanted to add a short entry about my new CA license plate.  Guess what the characters on the license read?  The answer: NXT2EDN.  Getting a personalized plate isn’t as much trouble as I thought it was.  Just go to the DMV site at https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/ippMain.jsp and put in a request for a customized plate.  Almost immediately you will be notified if a plate with the same sequence of characters is currently licensed.  If it is not, it is then sent to be reviewed and given an authorization.  Once it passes the appropriateness review it takes about 2 months before the plates are made and you are notified by mail that the plates are ready to pick up. The best thing to do is make an appointment at the DMV office using the following link, https://mv.dmv.ca.gov/foAppt2/start.do?goTo=officeVisit, when the plates are ready for pick up.  When you go to your appointment don’t forget to take the car you are planning to put new plates on, and take a correct screwdriver to remove the old plates once you are at the DMV office.  Simply swap the plates and you are off.  Hopefully you will see my car in San Diego some day.  Till then, peace and wellness.
